okay this album is weird and trippy and cool and sometimes outta tune and fucked up and annoying but mostly insteresting and psychedelic and definitely different in a mostly good way. i'd never listened to Pavement or any of Malkmus's previous solo albums... just picked this one up after reading a few interesting/good reviews.
wow, this album is incredible.
it's like someone put Sonic Youth's Murray Street album, Wilco, Lou Reed, Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Televisions' Marquee Moon album in a blender and pressed kill.
beware though: it's a strange bird. keep rockin it and see if it grows on you.
